SUMMARY:East Ward Community Roundtable: Post-Secondary Outcomes
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Tuesday\, October 2 for the first Community Roundtable for Post-Secondary Outcomes of Newark High School Graduates\, a new report by the Newark City of Learning Collaborative that documents the college enrollment\, persistence\, and completion trends of nearly 13\,500 Newark students who graduated from high school from 2011 to 2016. While the study found that most students are in fact enrolling in college\, 54% within the first year of graduating high school\, not enough of our students are persisting to degree attainment. School leaders\, educators\, parents\, students\, and policymakers from across the city are invited to discuss the findings and brainstorm solutions to get more Newark students to and through college.
