Making FAFSA Corrections

Resources for Contributors Making Corrections or Updates on the 2024–25 FAFSA® Form

The Office of Federal Student Aid has developed online resources for FAFSA contributors (students and their families) making corrections or updates to the 2024–25 FAFSA form. Students and parents may be required to make corrections due to the following reasons:

  • an incorrect Social Security Number
  • a missing signature
  • missing consent and approval

If a contributor needs to make updates to the 2024–25 FAFSA form, they can make the updates after the form is processed. Follow instructions and resources on correcting or updating the 2024–25 FAFSA form on the FSA website. Students should submit their 2024–25 FAFSA form now to maximize the amount of aid they may receive.
