If you are an NJ Dreamer (a resident who was brought to the United States as a child without documentation and meets all the criteria outlined below) and are not eligible for financial assistance under the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®), you may still be eligible for state financial aid through the New Jersey Alternative Financial Aid Application. Who Should Complete the New Jersey Alternative Financial Aid Application?
Complete this application if you live in New Jersey, are not eligible for the FAFSA, and meet all of the following criteria:
Attended a New Jersey high school for at least three (3) years
Graduated from a New Jersey high school or received the equivalent of a high school diploma in New Jersey
Are able to file an affidavit stating that you have filed an application to legalize your immigration status or will file an application as soon you are eligible to do so
